Potometer

The potometer uses the Pressure (Differential) sensor and an accessory pack to measure the transpiration rate of a plant leaf.

A large dock leaf, for example, is attached to a water-filled tube, which is then arranged with a small syringe, to damp the pressure changes, and the Pressure (Differential) sensor can then log the steady use of water by a leaf.

The data below relates specifically to the Pressure (Differential) sensor.

  1. Logger compatibility :ScienceScope Type 2 (Click for details)

  2. range +/- 15 kPa
  3. resolution 0.02 kPa
  4. maximum recording frequency with Datadisc is 10 milliseconds
