ScienceScope On TV

Our Protactinium Generator will be featuring on Teachers' TV on 2nd July 2008. The programme on Radioactivity will hopefully inspire teachers to conduct radioactivity experiments safely and effectively.

If you are interested in purchasing a Protactinium Generator please contact our sales department. The cost is £135 plus £35 delivery + VAT if you order by the end of the summer term 2008.

Noise Mapping

Defra have recently published  the national noise maps

Schools could use datalogging to produce their own local noise maps and compare them with the maps produced by Defra. Using datalogging and GPS  to produce the maps would show real sound levels as opposed to the Defra maps that have been artificially generated based on  population levels, location of airports, roads etc.

See the Participate website for an example of sound mapping around Bristol.
