Logbook ML (V4.02)

Logbook ML is aimed at the keen remote datalogger user and is suitable for use from KS3 to A-level.

Logbook ML Specification

  1. Datadisc compatible

  2. Multi-functional LCD  display (Meter/Recording/File/Logger Status/Timing)

  3. 3 user buttons

  4. 8 file memory

  5. Serial or USB communications with a PC

  6. 3 internal sensors (temperature/light/sound)

  7. 2 inputs for Datadisc/Philip Harris compatible sensors (1 shared with internal sound sensor)

  8. Temperature probe which over-rides the in-built sensor included.

  9. Auto-recognition for all compatible sensors

  10. 9V PP3 battery included. Mains adaptor available.

  11. Files may be locked to prevent accidental deletion

  12. Time and Date function.

Remote mode

  1. Maximum number of data points:  500/4 channels

  2. Recording modes: Auto and Snapshot

PC Connected operation

  1. Wide range of recording types and facilities provided by Datadisc Au

  2. Fast timing with a minimum recording interval  of 61µs.

  3. Recording types Triggered, Auto-time, Sensor-auto, Fast,  Snapshot, X-Y

Version Checking Help

The version of the Logbook ML is shown on the display of the Logbook ML when you first turn it on.  The Logbook ML screen has 2 lines and the top line says 'Logbook ML Vx.xx' ,where x.xx is the version number.

Upgrade Policy for Logbook ML Version 1 Owners

There are 2 options for upgrades.

  1. Free upgrades for all units when a customer invests in £200 or more in sensors which require the latest version to display values (ScienceScope type 2), see the compatibility page for help if needed.
  2. For a charge of £25 for each Logbook ML version 1.
