The
altimeter
is designed to measure altitude to a high precision in low altitude
environments. It is capable of resolving changes of altitude of 1 metre and can
be used to show how the atmospheric pressure changes from the bottom to the top
of stairs in the school.
The sensor
includes in-built temperature compensation.
