The USB driver for the HandyMeter and Logbook Cables have been certified by Microsoft and are XP logo compliant. They can be downloaded from this page and used to install the USB device in question.  We recommend that you remove the USB device from your computer, download the zip file, unzip the file when downloading has finished, and then plug the USB device back in and make the operating system search in the location where you saved the unzipped file. 

Multiple devices on the same computer

Datadisc Pt software can display multiple HandyMeters connected simultaneously to the same computer, and indeed multiple Logbook Cables, but each new HandyMeter or Logbook Cable connected may demand a driver be installed the first time that device is connected.  

The first time you use a HandyMeter or Logbook Cable you must provide the driver for the Cable, either from the installation disc of Datadisc Pt, or from a copy of the driver downloaded from here.  

For subsequent HandyMeters or Logbook Cables  you have 2 choices, you can either make the software look in the System32/drivers and System32 folders for the drivers already installed, or use the same source for the drivers as you did for the first installation, as described above.
