GeoScope

The Google Map shows data from a Carbon Monoxide sensor recorded on a ScienceScope Logbook datalogger.

The data was recorded whilst driving in traffic into Bath, Somerset, and clearly shows areas where CO levels rose as the traffic slowed to a halt, in red.

A Garmin GPS unit is carried with the Logbook, and then JData3D software is used to produce this visualisation.

A Google Earth 3D visualisation is also produced, at the same time.

Download the kmz file from here.

The data is converted into a colour representation and the scale is displayed alongside the map.

Each point 'Marker' is clickable, showing an information window.

This gives more detail about the data recording, including:photographs (not included in this example) and data from other sensors which may have been recorded at the same moment, but are not shown in the visualisation.

Toggle Markers on and off with this button.

Open a Point info window from here, return to

 '-Select a Point-' to close.
