Up One Level

Peterborough Town centre CO and CO 9th November 2006

Here one of our student teachers has sampled the CO and CO2 levels walking from School to the pedestrian shopping area and back again. Notice high levels of CO in Burghley Road where cars are waiting to turn left. The Pedestrian area of Broadway is clear of CO until cars are once again allowed to join. The CO2 levels do not vary, as the sensor has a long response delay, of several minutes. We recommend only using CO2 in a fixed location, were there are slow change in levels.

To access these files you need to right click on the filename you want to download and select 'Save Target As...' and then save the file to your chosen location. Note that the file extension needs to be '.kml'. You can set this in the saving dialog you are presented with when you click 'Save Target As... ', some computers will try to save the file with a '.xml' extension, you should edit this to read '.kml' before saving.
